Because Tenbi Academy's girl-to-guy ratio is 3 to 1, Takeru enrolls there and is reunited with his childhood friend Haruko Amiya. But he soon learns this school is where the students hone their combat skills using a magic power source called Maken. If Takeru can't unlock and control his Maken, he will be kicked out. But he's distracted by seeing pretty girls and a growing rivalry between a jealous Haruko, who secretly loves him, and two other girls interested in him.
