After the great wars end, the anti-music DES bans all forms of entertainment. To combat this threat to intergalactic harmony, a bold group of young women resurrect the legendary J-Pop band AKB48, by forming the new AKB0048. Trained in both choreography and combat, these lovely singers are experts in concert halls and battle. Under the mysterious Sensei Sensei's leadership, they help make the universe safe to listen to music again. The arrival of a new group of girls begins the training of a new generation of singers.
